Induction cooker as a heater

In the context of a constant increase in electricity prices, it becomes necessary to search for non-standard ways of heating private houses, cottages and other premises. Due to its availability and reliability, the use of an induction stove as a heater becomes more and more popular. Heating a stove with a stove - how economical and effective is it?

Induction cooker works on a completely different principle in contrast to other devices of this purpose. Instead of heating elements, electromagnetic coils are used in the manufacture. It is they under the influence of alternating current that form a magnetic field around themselves. Under the surface of the product is a coil along which current flows with a frequency of 20-60 Hz.

It serves as the primary winding, and pots and pans - the secondary. Induction currents fall into the bottom of the cookware, and it heats up. Consequently, the food in it is also heated. It is worth noting that when heated, heat loss is minimized. The dishes heat up much faster than other types of cooking products.

ATTENTION!The stove itself is almost not subject to heat during operation. The entire flow of energy is distributed only to heat the dishes.

Of course, you can put a pot of water on the surface. In the process of boiling, it will heat the air of the room. However, this method is not rational due to the boiling of liquid. Using an induction cooker, make a heater yourself. To do this, it is enough to have skills in working with a welding machine and grinder. Consider the process of manufacturing this design in stages:

  • To begin with, we should make a square pipe measuring 50 * 50 cm. About 6 pieces of such products will be needed. It depends on the dimensions of the induction cooker.
  • It is also necessary to prepare two parts along the lengths of 25 and 30 cm.
  • Elements of 50 cm. Are connected to each other vertically. All joints must be thoroughly boiled.
  • The other two blanks must be removed one of the parties to get the profile of a U-shaped.
  • To the obtained part, two segments with a removed wall are welded to the upper and lower sides in order to combine all sections into a common contour.
  • Then we weld holes from the side parts.
  • The outlet and inlet nozzles should be located diagonally, one at the top and the other at the bottom.
  • All seams must be carefully cleaned with a grinder. The resulting product is degreased before painting.
  • Next, begin the installation process. The return fluid flow is supplied from below, and the outgoing pipe from above.
  • An expansion tank as well as a pump for forced circulation must be added to this system.

Entering the resulting product, the water warms up. Exactly the same design can be performed in a horizontal version and complicate it.

IMPORTANT!The induction cooker must have a current and temperature control system.

There are many different opinions about the effectiveness of using this product. One of the disadvantages of induction cookers is their high cost compared to other devices. The significant advantages of its use include the following:

  • High efficiency, reaching 98% in some cases. For comparison, the heating efficiency of a glass-ceramic surface is 50-60%, of a gas stove - 50-65%.
  • They are characterized by high wear resistance and durability. With constant use, these products can last at least 25 years. Significant reduction in heating costs up to 30%.
  • The lack of scale.
  • Increased degree of electrical and fire safety.

REFERENCE!True, a prerequisite for maintaining longevity is its use in the recommended temperature regime, but the automatic system is already responsible for this.

Owners who use induction cookers for heating note their noiselessness, durability and high work efficiency. However, having no experience in creating electrical equipment, it is better not to experiment, but to use the services of professionals. After all, using an induction cooker as a heater, it is not connected directly, but through a charger, battery and inverter.
