How to mount a countertop in a kitchen set

2. Z-shaped holders can also be fixed. The advantages of this method are low cost, ease and accuracy of installation, no need to purchase auxiliary structural parts.
3. Wooden clamps can replace the mounting method. Elements function similarly to Z-shaped holders. They can be easily created in series using trimmings present in any woodwork.
4. Fasten with holders-eights. Using this method, the bracket is installed in a small hole previously created with a Forstner drill. This element is fixed with two screws: one is fixed to the body, the second to the back of the countertop. During swelling or squeezing of the board, the bracket rotates, preventing the lid from bending. The gap between the fasteners should be 15-20 cm.
5. Stakes with grooves attached tabletop. The headset is attached 2-3 spacers with grooves of a rectangular shape. If the countertop changes its width, then the screws will move freely in the grooves, preventing the deformation of the wood. Additional slats play the role of screeds, increasing the rigidity of the body and preventing deformation of the drawer.

How to attach a countertop in the kitchen: step by step

To attach the product to the kitchen set yourself, you must follow the following plan:

1. Measurements of the dimensions of the product are carried out taking into account the sizes of the headset, panel, for this a sheet is attached to the installation site. Contours and areas appear where the sink and stove will be installed. Using a hacksaw, extra sections are cut off and recesses are created with an electric jigsaw for mounting the sink and stove. It is mandatory to take into account wall defects (bumps and protrusions), if any, then notches and cuts are created initially. The created holes are glued with aluminum reflective tape.
2. Having made the countertop of the required size, the ends are processed with the help of an adhesive, this is necessary for a high-quality fit of the product and elimination of holes. Then, the bar is fixed with small screws. Excess glue is carefully wiped with acetone or white spirit.
3. By heating the iron, the edges of the countertops are glued over with the edge. After the tape dries, you need to grind the edges of the surface. For high-quality placement of the tape, it needs to be carefully glued, each centimeter is carefully smoothed.
4. Adjustable headset. For the legs of the pedestals use a level. If there are problems with adjustment due to the uneven floor, then pieces of plastic, thick rubber or wood can be placed under the legs.

7. After completing the fixing work, it is recommended to install a decorated baseboard along the edge of the tabletop and wall - this will improve the appearance of the headset.

Important! If the corner tabletop is screwed, then the joints of the connection must be hidden with the help of an aluminum profile.
