Which epilator can be used in the shower and bath

Many girls prefer depilators, which can be used in the bath or shower. However, it is not only convenient, but also, as manufacturers position their goods, more hygienic. Nevertheless, the security issue is an acute concern for everyone. In addition, depilators, which can be used in water, are somewhat more expensive. To figure out if you need such a device, you should carefully read the available models, their characteristics, as well as advantages and disadvantages.

What epilators work in water

Not all models are allowed before this application. In order not to be in a situation where the purchased device cannot be used in water, it is necessary to make sure the opposite when choosing a model. To do this, at the stage of deciding which product to purchase, pay attention to the following points:

  1. the possibility of depilation in water (some models can simply be used in a humid environment, but the manufacturer does not give guarantees for hair removal in water);
  2. method of powering the device (such epilators should only work on batteries or accumulator);
  3. the presence of lighting (under water, visibility is much worse, even if your bathroom has excellent lighting);
  4. nozzles included in the kit.

Now almost all manufacturers have added models to their range that can be used under water.

IMPORTANT! Before buying, do not be lazy to read the reviews of those who have already used a water epilator. This will allow you to avoid models whose operating functions do not match those declared by the manufacturer.

What are interesting models working in water

Water epilator has a number of distinctive features. These usually include:

  • Discs and tweezers that do not corrode, which allows them to be washed safely under running water. This characteristic makes the device more hygienic to use, and also helps to reduce skin irritation.
  • The instrument case is made of materials that do not slip in water, and they are also provided with complete tightness for safe operation under water. The use of such depilators is less painful, as the skin is steamed and the hair is easier to remove.
  • The special design of the head of the epilator contributes to a tighter fit to the skin, which allows you to capture even short hairs, and this, in turn, guarantees a longer smoothing effect after depilation.

IMPORTANT! When choosing a model to buy, pay attention to which nozzles or additional features you need. Some functions might simply not suit you according to the peculiarities of the skin, and the cost at the same time will be overpriced at their expense.

Disadvantages and advantages

No matter how convenient the use of such depilators seems to be, they are not used everywhere, since all devices have their drawbacks: they do not scare someone, while others are not able to put up with them. These disadvantages include:

  • higher price compared to conventional depilators;
  • the charge of batteries or accumulators during continuous operation lasts only for half an hour, which is inconvenient if it is necessary to qualitatively remove a large area
  • reduced visibility (not all models are equipped with additional illumination).

Although these shortcomings are not so significant, for many they play an important role in choosing a depilator. For another part of the girls, they are compensated by the positive qualities of the device:

  • less painful hair removal from steamed skin;
  • more effective depilation due to the floating head, which allows you to capture even the shortest hairs;
  • mobility (since the device does not work from the network, it appears to take it with you even on hikes);
  • simplicity and speed of hair removal (compared with shugaring, waxing and other methods of depilation and epilation);
  • speed regulation (as a rule, all models contain two modes: standard and gentle for the skin with a low pain threshold and high sensitivity);
  • long-lasting smoothness (due to the removal of short hairs, you can safely perform depilation once a month).

However, not all shortcomings will be disadvantages due to the characteristics of the skin. The same goes for the benefits. Therefore, before choosing a device, manufacturers are strongly advised to establish personal preferences based on their own observations in order to exclude a bad result and, as a result, negative reviews.

Contraindications to the use of an epilator

There are usually no strict contraindications for using the depilator, however, there are cases when it is not recommended to use the device:

  • during pregnancy;
  • with varicose veins;
  • if there is damage on the area of the skin that you are going to depilate.

If you are usually not advised to use the depilator for girls who have high sensitivity of the skin, then for one that can work under water, such restrictions are not given due to the reduced pain of the process.

Although water depilators are higher in price and work for a limited time, they are still comfortable to use because of the high efficiency and less painful procedure. However, when choosing a model when buying, you should pay attention to its characteristics, since manufacturers often hide a device that can be used in a humid environment, but not under water, behind a "water depilator".
