Multicooker Bowl Compatibility

The multicooker bowl is one of the main parts directly involved in the cooking process. Different types of bowls have different functional purpose and appearance. The need to find a compatible bowl may appear when the old one is worn out or a need arises for a second tank. Depending on the volume and internal coating, it may be suitable for different models of multicookers.

Each multicooker model has its own functionality, for the implementation of which various types of containers are used.

They may differ in the following parameters:

  • volume;
  • diameter and height;
  • the presence of dimensional divisions;
  • inner coating material;
  • handles and clamps.

The main noticeable difference between different brands is roominess. Usually used up to 5 liters. A variety of options include a capacity of 2 to 7 liters. The maximum size of prepared dishes and the amount of power consumed depends on this parameter. Small-volume models are convenient for a small family or one person, and for cooking a large number of portions it is more convenient to use a device with a large capacity.

The presence of a scale with marks is convenient in that you can immediately calculate the number of ingredients - for soup, cereals, etc. The brand of the bowl also matters. The better the brand, the better the materials from which the details of multicookers are made. The reliability of the manufacturer guarantees a high service life and ease of use.

The material of the inner layer depends on the purpose of the multicooker and the functions performed. The manufacturer pre-calculates what the appliance will be used for - cooking, frying, stewing, baking, or for everything at once. The material of the container in which the dishes are prepared depends on this.

At the same time, there are multicookers in which several interchangeable bowls can be used for different operating modes. Manufacturers have also developed special universal bowls that can be matched to different models. This allows, if necessary, to replace the old or damaged bowl of the device with a new container.

IMPORTANT! If there is a need for an additional bowl for cooking, it is better to purchase it immediately with the purchase of the device, so that you do not then look for compatible options.

Bowls of multicookers are made of aluminum and feature an internal additional coating.

By type of material, the following types of bowls exist:

  1. No additional processing. Such containers are made of aluminum or stainless steel. They are scratch resistant, durable and not afraid of metal blades and spoons. However, food in such containers may burn.
  1. With non-stick coating. Usually this is Teflon - the most common material for the inner coating of multicookers. It does not interact with products, does not burn and allows you to evenly distribute the temperature during cooking. But the main disadvantage is its quick abrasion, especially when in contact with knives and forks. Therefore, they require additional silicone accessories. It is also worth noting that such a material is afraid of sudden changes in temperature.
  1. Ceramic. Ceramic products can withstand very high temperatures and do not emit harmful substances. But such material is very expensive and breaks easily with careless handling.

Each type has its advantages: the most stable bowls are metal, and the most versatile and convenient are teflon. Both of them are high-quality and convenient, as manufacturers calculate all the needs in advance and constantly improve manufacturing technology.

The need to purchase an additional bowl may arise when the old container is worn out or in connection with the desire to have a second dish for the convenience of the cooking process. To do this, select interchangeable containers that are compatible with the model of the device in height, volume and diameter.

If it is impossible to buy a bowl of the same model, then you can choose compatible devices of the same brand or find universal options from other manufacturers. In order for the tank to come to the multicooker, it must be of the same size and characteristics as in the basic configuration.

You can simply measure the parameters of the original bowl and find exactly the same among the options available on sale. Information about the dimensions of the inner tank can be found in the instrument passport or measure it yourself using a ruler.

The following indicators will be required:

  1. Diameter. The size of the upper part (or the maximum width, if there are protruding parts) is measured using a ruler. Moreover, it can differ from the diameter of the lower part, because the bottom can be narrowed due to rounding.
  1. Height. The size from the bottom outer edge to the top opening of the tank is taken into account. This may also take into account the height of the lid.
  1. The form. You must also pay attention to the shape of the outer rim. It can affect the tightness of the capacity and quality of cooked dishes.

When choosing a compatible bowl, you should pay attention to its dimensions (height and diameter), so that the new container fits into the multicooker and allows you to tightly close the device during operation. If the new tank is less than the standard one, it may not receive enough heat from the heating element and this will affect the speed and quality of cooking. An excessively large bowl may not fit into the appliance or prevent it from closing the top cover.

ATTENTION! In some cases, even the coincidence of sizes does not guarantee compatibility, because some multicooker models have their own characteristics and may not work correctly with accessories from other manufacturers.

To find the right capacity, try choosing a compatible model of the same brand as the multicooker.

Having picked up a suitable bowl, it is first necessary to check its compatibility with the multicooker. Carefully insert it into the device, make sure that it is tight and snug against the heating surface. If everything is suitable, the new container must be washed and thoroughly dried before use.
