One of the elements necessary for a full-fledged game is a joystick. Produced specifically for the Playstation modern models or as they are called gamepads not only control the process of the game, but also have a lot of additional functions. However, like all mechanical elements, they can break down, signaling a nuisance with signals of yellow and white.
What to do if the ps4 joystick flashes white and does not turn on
Most modern joysticks are wireless, which both simplifies and complicates use. At the end of each gamepad, an LED indicator is integrated, the signals of which are responsible for a specific action.
IMPORTANT. A continuous white glow means that the device is paired with a set-top box and is ready to go.
Sometimes it happens that the white glow of the indicator is present, but it is not stable. In other words, if the joystick flashes continuously with white light, then something is wrong. In most cases, such a signal indicates that synchronization with the console did not take place.
What should be done in this case?
- You must ensure that there are no barriers to the signal. What good wired joysticks are so that practically nothing can prevent them from working. Wireless gamepads refuse to work if there is furniture on the way between them and the attachment, or another obstruction. Also, synchronization will not occur if the player is too far from the installation location of the Playstation 4 console.
IMPORTANT. Modern gamepads can be connected both to set-top boxes and to personal computers. Sometimes malfunctions, which are signaled by white light, can be caused by the fact that the joystick is connected to a computer and cannot catch the signal from ps4.
- Connect the cable. If the first solution does not give the desired results, the joystick can be connected directly to the ps4 console using a standard USB cable.
IMPORTANT. When you connect the gamepad directly to the console, there may be a technical failure in the program or other errors. To remedy the situation, you need to reset all settings by holding down the Reset button on the joystick panel. Next pairing will occur in normal mode.
