What you need for making pockets
The first thing that needs to be done is to determine the color and choose the fabric for the future organizer. It can be not one cut, but several different materials.
The colors of the pockets themselves, as well as the basics of the accessory for the crib itself, may be different.
Tip. The fabric is better to choose natural, cotton.
And also you will need:
- synthetic winterizer or any dense fabric for the filler;
- lace;
- fabric for ties (various decorative ribbons can be used);
- threads
- pins
- needles;
- measuring tape;
- scissors;
- a piece of chalk.
How to sew pockets
Everything is very simple, even a novice housewife will cope with work. Our step-by-step instruction suggests taking only 5 steps, and your baby will have a beautiful attribute.
Taking measurements
Most often, the organizer is hung on the side wall of the crib. It also needs to be measured. If the bed is standard, then its width is 60 cm. Now measure the height. To make the wall completely closed, we take a height of 60 cm (maybe less).
Cut
Cut three squares 60 * 60 cm in size from the selected material: two squares from multi-colored fabric and one from synthetic winterizer.
For the pockets themselves, we take two stripes. One 70 * 22 cm - for the upper row, the second 66 * 22 cm - for the lower row. At the edges it will be possible to sew decorative braid or take a white fabric and sew it, bending the edges.
Location of pockets
On the square for the front side of the product we have strips for pockets and sew. On their lower edge on both sides we make one large assembly, so that the compartment is wider during use.
Separate pockets from each other by stitching. Sew lace around the edge of the whole square, collecting it in a fold.
Sew Organizer
We put two squares with their faces to each other and connect with a line from three sides. We twist, iron the product.
Ties
We take 3 strips of fabric measuring 70 * 10 cm, fold them in half, iron them. The edges, bending inwards, are stitched. The resulting ties, bent by a loop, are connected to the organizer itself. The product is ready.
Useful Tips
The organizer will be very convenient to use if you create it according to your wishes. because before stitching the product elements together, fasten them with pins. Rate the result to your liking.
